01About VELMERK

VELMERK is a Netherlands-based brokerage that connects Dutch sellers of used and surplus professional horticultural equipment with buyers internationally. VELMERK is asset-light: we do not manufacture equipment, and we do not hold or own a warehouse of inventory. We facilitate transactions between sellers and buyers.

02Using this site

velmerk.com is an informational and lead-generation site. It lets sellers submit equipment for us to assess, lets buyers describe what they're looking for, and provides information about listed equipment. Nothing on this site — including equipment detail pages — constitutes a checkout, purchase, or binding sale. Any transaction is arranged separately, directly with VELMERK.

You agree to use this site only for legitimate purposes connected to buying or selling professional equipment, and not to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.

03No warranty on equipment

VELMERK documents equipment as accurately as we can — identity, specifications, condition, and disclosed defects — but we are not the manufacturer and do not warrant or guarantee the condition, fitness, or performance of any equipment listed or described on this site. Where a machine's listing shows an Independent Inspection Available indicator, that inspection was carried out by a separate, independent specialist — not VELMERK — and VELMERK does not assume technical liability for the equipment. Buyers are encouraged to request an independent inspection before committing to a purchase, particularly for higher-value equipment.

04Brokerage & fees

VELMERK operates on a success-based brokerage model: there is no upfront cost to list equipment for sale, and VELMERK earns a commission only when a transaction is successfully completed. The specific commission structure is agreed individually with each seller and is not published on this site as a fixed percentage, since it can vary by equipment type, value, and scope of work involved.

05Your submissions

When you submit equipment details, a request, or a message through our forms, you confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you're authorised to share it — for example, that you have the right to offer the equipment for sale.

We ask sellers not to submit fabricated or exaggerated equipment details, and we do not publish equipment listings we haven't been able to verify with the seller.

06Intellectual property

The VELMERK name, logo, and the content of this website (excluding equipment photos and specifications supplied by sellers, which remain their property or their equipment's documentation) belong to VELMERK and may not be reproduced without permission.

07Liability

To the extent permitted by law, VELMERK is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this website, reliance on information presented on it, or a transaction facilitated by VELMERK, beyond what is separately agreed as part of that transaction.

08Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from use of this website, are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

09Changes to these terms

As VELMERK grows and this draft is replaced with a legally reviewed version, this page will be updated and the "last edited" date above will change accordingly.
