VELMERK is a Netherlands-based brokerage connecting Dutch sellers of used and surplus professional horticultural equipment with buyers internationally. This policy covers the information we collect through velmerk.com — the Sell Equipment, Find Equipment, and Contact forms, and any equipment inquiries you send us.

VELMERK's registered business details will be published here once finalised. Until then, the forms on this site are the reliable way to reach us about a privacy matter.

02What we collect

We only collect what you choose to submit through our forms. Depending on which form you use, this can include:

• Contact details — name, company name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number
• Business context — your country, and whether you're selling or buying
• Equipment details — manufacturer, model, year, category, condition, price expectations, photos or documents you attach
• The content of any message you write to us

We do not ask for or process payment details, government ID numbers, or any information beyond what's needed to handle your inquiry — VELMERK does not run payments through this website.

03How we use it

We use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry, assess and list equipment you're selling, match buyer requests against available or sourced equipment, and coordinate next steps such as documentation or an independent inspection.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing communications unless you separately opt in.

04Sharing with others

VELMERK does not sell personal data. As a brokerage, moving a transaction forward sometimes requires sharing relevant details with the other party — for example, sharing a buyer's requirements with a seller whose equipment matches, or an equipment's technical documentation with an interested buyer.

We share only what's necessary for that purpose, and we aim to confirm with you before passing on contact details to a specific counterpart. We may also share information with independent inspection or logistics partners you've agreed to work with as part of a transaction.

05Analytics & cookies

This site uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. It only tells us aggregate things like how many people visited a page or clicked a button — never who you are.

Beyond what's strictly needed to run the site, we don't currently use tracking or advertising cookies.

06Retention

We keep information you submit for as long as it's relevant to an active or potential transaction, or until you ask us to delete it. Inquiries that don't lead anywhere are periodically reviewed and removed.

07Security

We take reasonable measures to protect submitted information, including limiting who at VELMERK can access it. No online system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute protection — but we treat what you share with us carefully.

08Your rights

As VELMERK is based in the Netherlands and operates within the EU, you have rights under the GDPR regarding your personal data, including the right to ask what we hold about you, correct it, request its deletion, or object to how it's used.
